On November 22, brother Knights from our council came together to celebrate the 4:30 p.m. Mass at St. Charles. During the Mass, we held a special intention in the presence of the Silver Rose.

The Silver Rose is a joint initiative shared annually among Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Each year, eight Silver Roses travel along different routes throughout the three countries, stopping at various councils to be used in ceremonies and prayer services.

The tradition began in 1960 to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe, with a pilgrimage of a rose traveling from Canada to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. Over time, the program evolved to include eight Silver Roses, each stewarded by Knights of Columbus councils along distinct pilgrimage routes across North America.

The Silver Rose program serves as a powerful symbol of the Order’s unity, devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, and commitment to the sanctity of life. Each stop along the journey is marked by prayer, reflection, and a renewed focus on the rosary.
